Beach Shenanigans

(in which Azi becomes the biggest flirt in this relationship)

(approx four months after the ice skating day)

Ellie: first really warm day of summer one hand holding Azi's firmly, the other clutching her beach bag, she steps out onto the sand and smiles wearing a pale blue singlet and dark blue-and-black patterened sarong over her wine-red bikini wide-brimmed summer hat the same shade as her bikini Summer! First day at the beach! beams at Azi Finally.

Azi: Grins at Ellie's excitement and gives her hand a little squeeze Despite living in New York for years he still came off as a tourist, with his tacky dolphin Hawaiian shirt, pale blue swimming trunks with little yellow ducks on the waist line, and his stylish sunglasses he may or may not have "borrowed" from a certain flatmate that quite honestly had enough pairs that he could spare one pair First day of many I hope love.

Ellie: grins and bounces a little Come on! I want to get a good spot before the beach fills up. tugs at his hand to move eagerly towards the water line

Azi: Laughs Alright alright dear...Readjusts his hold on his beach bag and happily allows Ellie to drag him on towards the water

Ellie: looks around critically as she drags Azi across the sand and eventually settles on a spot just above the high-tide line and about three quarters of the way along the beach Here! lets go of Azi's hand with a final squeeze and digs into her beach bag for her towel

Azi: Lowers his "borrowed" sunglasses and takes in the view around them The weather was perfect today and even though it looked like the beach was already getting a little packed they had still managed to find a swell spot Silently praising Ellie for her choice and settles down in the sand to go through his own beach bag and locate his towel

Ellie: shakes her towel out and spreads it carefully over the sand flops down onto it, kicks off her sandals, and continues to fish around in her bag produces a book and places it near the top of her towel Do you want to go for a swim first? Or get settled down and bake a little? smiles at Azi and waves a bottle of sunscreen at him

Azi: Tugs out his own towel and carefully lays it out so that it next to Ellie's Brushes some sand off himself before climbing on it and going through his bag to ensure that he brought everything he would need Looks up and smiles at his Ellie as he ponders over her question I would probably be best to lay out on the beach first for a little while. I would image that swimming would be most enjoyable once the day has reached its hottest point.

Ellie: Sounds like a plan. attempts to tie her hair up even though it will only last a few minutes squeezes some sunscreen onto her palm and starts applying it vigorously to her arms You'll need this stuff more than I do. eyes Azi's pale arms

Azi: Rolls his eyes at her statement and smiles a little playfully at her Well gee love, I would never have suspected that my horribly pale skin would require more protection against the sun's harmful rays than your lovely complexion would.

Ellie: laughs Hey, I can't help that I was smarter than you were when it came to choosing my body's skin colour! finishes her arms and takes off her singlet so she can get to her neck, shoulders and stomach

Azi: I didn't exactly have the choice in what sort of body they put my into love... Looks himself over Though I admit it could have turned out worse.

Azi: Will you need any help?

Ellie: teasing Keen to get your hands on my bare flesh, sweetie? laughs Yes, if you could do my back that would be great. I can do it if I need to, but it's easier if someone else does.

Azi: Blushes just a tiny bit at her implication I'm always keen to get my hands on you dear, how else am I supposed to snuggle you every day? Scoots behind her and pours some sunscreen into his hand Gently begins to rub it into her back

Ellie: hair is already starting to escape her attempt at tying it back enjoys the feel of her back being rubbed, even if it's just for sunscreen You'll need to let me do your back, of course... smiles

Azi: Leans forward and kisses that little place just below her ear Fair is fair I suppose... Rubs little circles into her back and ensures that he has spread the sunscreen evenly

Ellie: still can't help the smile every time he places a kiss below her ear Just about done? cranes her neck around to look at him

Sam: Azi: Smiles and is satisfied that she wont get burned It seems so love.

Ellie: turns around, picking up the sunscreen again Must be your turn then. cheeky smile Come on, strip.

Azi: Slight tint of a blush graces is his cheeks Laughs a little and begins to unbutton his shirt Well aren't you demanding.

Ellie: sweetly Just looking out for your welfare. Have to make sure you don't get sunburned.

Azi: Nods and give her a disbelieving look How considerate of you my dear. Finishes going through the buttons and shrugs off the dolphin covered shirt

Ellie: smiles as she takes in a view he has always kept covered by sweaters and tshirts appreciative tone You could have done /much/ worse. grins and meets his eyes again as she puts some sunscreen into her palm So, how much do I get to help?

Azi: Grins and can already see that this is going to be one of those days where he spends it mostly red.... and it's not entirely going to be the sun's fault That depends on much you are actually planning on helping me and how much you are planning on taking advantage of the situation?

Ellie: moves closer with her sunscreened palms and, grinning, places two big smears of sunscreen across his chest I'll be gentle. gives him a too-innocent look spreads some of the sunscreen up to his shoulders Though if you want, I /can/ just help with your back... pretends to look disappointed

Azi: Sighs goodnaturedly Well you've already started with my chest so might as well let you have you fun....

Ellie: grins and puts more sunscreen on him, spreading it around enthusiastically, and maybe lingering more on his shoulders than she needs to spreading it over his soft belly just makes her want to settle down and snuggle she resists gets his arms, leaving a kiss on each palm as she's done Right. Lie on your stomach. Back time. grins very cheerfully

Azi: Hum appreciatively as her hands worked on his shoulders and smiled fondly every time she left a kiss against his palms .....Should I be worried about what will happen once I'm on my stomach and at your mercy?

Ellie: eyes wide Really? We've been together how long and you still don't trust me? chuckles Well, I knew you were smart, didn't I? makes a motion with her finger for him to turn around and lie down, still smiling

Azi: Smiling Oh I trust you love, but I also know you. Complies and lies down on the beach towel

Ellie: shifts forward so that she's sitting right up against him and regards his broad back grinning, she places one leg over his, just below his butt Can reach better if I do this... laughs silently

Azi: Quiet laughter and crosses his arms in front of himself to rest his head against I'm sure you can...

Ellie: smiles to herself as she starts to dribble sunscreen from the tube onto his back in a sweeping arc makes a matching one on the other side, creating a heart shape grins at her handiwork

Azi: Closes his eyes and decides to just enjoy getting his back rubbed and accept whatever devious fate his demon has planned for him

Ellie: carefully fashions an E and an A inside the heart, with a & in between giggles as she leans over him to grab her phone and snap off a quick photo

Azi: Hears the telltale sign of someone sneaking a picture (he should know he's done it plenty of times before) Snap his eyes open and glances over his shoulder What did you do?

Ellie: chuckles and places her phone down for Azi to see while she gets to work spreading the sunscreen around

Ellie: And don't you dare delete it!

Azi: Takes the phone from her Burst out into giggles when he sees what is on it And you call me the sap...

Ellie: joins in his laughter even as her hands massage the last of the sunscreen into his shoulders hands slide down to make sure that it gets under the waistband - DUCKS - of his swimming trunks in case they shift as well slaps his shoulder lightly Done!

Azi: Sits up and rolls his shoulders Thank you Ellie my dear.... though I am a little curious why thought I felt you messing with the waistband of my swimming trunks.

Ellie: Oh now that one was actually innocent. For once. grins When you move around, your waistband will move. Have to make sure you don't end up with a tiny strip of exposed and unprotected skin. coughs You may want to do the same at the front... I would offer, but even I know that may be a little too far.

Azi: Blushes slightly Well then, thank you once again love. Pecks her lips quickly before taking the sunscreen and trying to ignore how his face probably already looks like it has a sunburn

Ellie: smiles at the kiss You're welcome. goes back to her own towel and gets her legs covered in the sunscreen as well, then finally her face places the sarong off to one side as well and lies down on her stomach on the towel dressed only in her bikini and the wide-brimmed hat picks up her book and locates her place

Azi: Finishes putting sunscreen on the places she missed (including the front of his waistband like she had suggested) and puts the bottle away Fishes out a book from his bag (Moby Dick) and stretches out on his back beside Ellie Pushes his "borrowed" sunglasses up to shield his eyes and begins where he last left off Lying in companionable silence with his Ellie

Ellie: after a while... without taking her eyes off her book, moves her foot over so it's brushing Azi's ankle faint smile

Azi: Keeps quiet but a little smile finds its way to his lips as he casually brushes against her in return

Ellie: casually rolls over towards Azi so that she's also on her back, reading her book, pressed up against his side grins and pretends to keep reading

Azi: Grinning and just as casually stretches his arms out so that one arm just so happens to end up resting around her shoulders Carefully reads his book one handed

Ellie: laughs silently at the manoeuvre and doesn't call him on the cheesiness of it settles her head into the crook of his shoulder and shifts to a more comfortable position takes off the hat because it is just getting in the way now smiles and keeps reading

Azi: Gently stroking her shoulder with his thumb and tries not to get completely lost in the cuddle session that is slowly taking place here

Ellie: has suddenly lost track of where she is reading places the book open down on her chest and closes her eyes still smiling

Azi: Eyes wander over to the demon currently snuggling in his arms Notes that she has stopped reading and currently has her eyes closed Closes his own book for the moment and decides to take advantage of this situation by placing a small kiss against her nose

Ellie: smiles wider and opens her eyes, looking up at Azi Hey there. Sorry, didn't mean to disturb your reading.

Azi: Smiling It's fine love, you can't help it if I find you distracting and I'm not exactly complaining.

Ellie: purrs You find me distracting? stretches languidly, with a cheeky grin on her face Interesting...

Azi: Grins And here I thought you would have already figured that out for yourself. Nuzzles against her neck and leaves a series of lazy kisses along her jaw line

Ellie: is a little disappointed they're on a public beach and already gaining the attention of those nearby shifts onto her elbow, places a quick kiss on his nose and sits up Must be about time for a swim sometime? looks at all the people already in the water

Azi: Smiles at the nose kiss and sits up Just now noticing that they seem to have gained the attention of a few of the nearby beach goers Nervous smile and nods I think you might be right.

Ellie: smiles over at him Anyway, in the water we can cuddle and no one can see what's going on below the surface. grins and winks

Azi: *Raises eyebrow with a playful grin *I'm not even sure if I want to know what will be going on below the surface...

Ellie: laughs You'll just have to come swimming with me and find out. stands up, quickly checks that her things are mostly out of the sun looks out at the water again

Azi: Puts his book back in his bag for safe keeping and places his "borrowed" sunglasses on top of the bag Raises to his feet and takes Ellie's hand Lead the way love.

Ellie: doesn't need any more prompting than that and pulls Azi down to the water at a run when she gets to the water's edge she lets go, keeps running - lifting her legs high until she's knee high - then dives under surfacing in waist high water, she looks around to see where Azi has ended up

Azi: Laughs and runs beside her trying to keep up Slows down when she lets go of his hand and watches her dive in before diving in himself Sneakily swims up next to her while she is looking for him and attempts to surprise her by wrapping his arms around her waist

Ellie: laughs as he sneaks up behind her and grabs at his arms leaning her head back she manages to kiss his jaw I underestimated you, didn't think you'd keep up with me. smiles and hugs his arms to her

Azi: Hums happily I wouldn't exactly call it keeping up, I've just had some practice sneaking up on demons. Kisses her cheek

Ellie: laughs with delight Have you now? turns in his arms and wraps hers around his neck starts walking backwards, pulling him to deeper water

Azi: Doesn't fight her as she slowly pulls them deeper into the water Is oddly reminded of how sirens would drag sailors out to sea

Ellie: smiles and stops when the water is up to her chest when she's standing bends her legs a little so that she's covered to her shoulders pulls herself in close to Azi So, now that I have you here, what should I do... grins

Azi: Smiling with a blush definitely gracing his cheeks You mean to tell me you dragged us all the way out here without knowing what you had in mind for us once we were here? Shakes head and leans down so that he can brush his lips against her cheek Ellie my dear you really must learn to plan ahead.

Ellie: pulls herself up to his level and hooks her legs around his waist, mostly buoyed by the water I prefer going with the flow. Planning is overrated. grins and nibbles on his chin, enjoying the blush across his cheeks

Azi: Blushing intensifies and is beginning to suspect that he really is dating a siren I-I guess not everything needs to have a plan... Wraps one arm around her to help steady them against the waves and uses his free hand to trace her cheek bone ...You seem to be doing fine without one.

Ellie: places a very gentle kiss on his cheek and leans back again smiles at him Why thank you! I like to think that I can make the best of any situation. rubs her nose against his for a moment before pushing away completely, floating backwards with a mischievous smile

Azi: Stares at her suspiciously ...What are you doing love?

Ellie: goes into the water up to her chin grins like a shark and starts circling him

Azi: Smiles a little at her antics and watches her circle him with interest

Ellie: with one last wide smile, vanishes smoothly under the water and shoots towards him

Azi: Considers fleeing be is pretty sure that sirens can easily out swim a human.... even if it is an angel posing as one

Ellie: grabs at his ankles and pulls both of them upwards surfaces a few feet away, laughing

Azi: Coughs and chokes on the water that seemed to have decided that is would rather be in him then the ocean

Ellie: is immediately concerned by the coughing and swims towards him again Silly Aziraphale, why did you try to breathe underwater?

Azi: Calms down and takes a few deep breaths even though he doesn't need them I didn't, it seems a very beautiful siren just tried to drown me.

Ellie: looks around Really? Where?

Azi: Smiling slightly Oh you can't miss her, she was gorgeous.

Ellie: serious look Well, next time you see her send her my way. I'll sort her out.

Azi: Rolls his eyes and wraps his arms around her waist Don't worry my dear, I think I know how to handle her if she comes back...

Ellie: Oh yes? grins and wraps her arms around his neck again, but leaves her legs floating behind her And how does one handle a gorgeous siren?

Azi: Well I could try what the legends tell me to do. Places a few gently kisses along her jaw Or we could try my own personal method which I think we both find much more enjoyable.

Ellie: hums in pleasure as he kisses her jaw What's your own personal method? smiling at him, threading her fingers into his wet hair

Azi: Follows her jaw with his lips all the way up to ear and then back again Smother them with affection and hope that they won't try to drowning me again.

Ellie: laughs a bit shakily Keep doing that and you're going to have an entirely different problem on your hands, sweetie.

Azi: Nuzzles under her chin and grins against her neck Is it worse than the siren?

Ellie: takes a moment to get her scattered thoughts back in order and her heart rate back under control reminds herself that this is not one of her human temptations finally smirks at him One of them you'll be led into helpless temptation and possible discorporation... and the other you'll drown to death. winks

Azi: Hums thoughtfully as his nose is still buried under her chin Mumbles against her neck Well I have to say helpless temptation sounds a whole lot more interesting than drowning. Lifts his head up and smiles at her playfully What do you think love?

Ellie: laughs and frames his face What I think is that I have been a very bad influence on you. kisses his nose hooks her legs around his waist again as it's a more comfortable position

Azi: Smiling and kisses her cheek Well and here I thought you would be proud that you are slowly corrupting me.

Ellie: smiles back Why would I want to do that? I love you just the way you are.

Azi: Grinning Wraps both arms tightly around her and nuzzles her shoulder I looks as if I may have a little influence on you too my dear.

Ellie: kisses the side of his wet head and smiles I would be surprised if you hadn't.

Azi: Kisses her shoulder briefly and notes the salty sea taste Lifts his head up and brushes his nose against hers So do you think I'm going to have to deal with that siren trying to drowned me again?

Ellie: grins Maybe?

Azi: Oh? Then I guess I'll just have to go back to my original plan.... Gently starts peppering kisses across her cheeks and chin

Ellie: giggles as she's covered with little kisses but doesn't pull away heart swelling with affection for this playful being in her arms her fingers in his hair tighten a little

Azi: Moves his kisses across her nose and forehead Grinning madly Absolutely loving that Ellie seems to be really enjoying this Hugs her closer

Ellie: takes a few deep breaths and pulls away a little, using her fingers in his hair to hold his head presses her forehead against his and closes her eyes, breath steadying again Aziraphale... opens her eyes and looks at him, smiling a little Keep in mind what I am. I can't change it any more than you can change being an insufferably sweet angel. grins

Azi: Gazes at her with more than just a little love and fondness Brings one of his hands up to gently brushes his fingers through her hair and untangle the wet strands I know exactly what you are Ellie, and it doesn't bother me in the least.... If I am ever making being who you are difficult than let me know and we'll find a way to cope with the situation together. As for now though... Smiles a little shyly, blushing slightly am I still allowed to hold and kiss you or would you like for me to stop?

Ellie: heart swelling just a little more blushing more with shame than anything I just... nervous laugh... may have overestimated my ability to keep things cool when we're mostly unclothed. takes one of her hands out of his hair to cup his face instead I /never/ want you to stop holding and kissing me. If that day comes, I will be very heartbroken. Just giving you fair warning, in case I get a little carried away... you /tell/ me.

Azi: Leans against her hand cupping his face Stops combing his fingers through her hair to return the gesture I'll be sure to let you know if I feel like things are getting out of hand. Pecks her on the nose For now though things are fine love.

Ellie: smiles in relief and rubs her nose against his Good! turns her head to kiss his palm moves her hands to his shoulders and gives them a squeeze Apart from playing around in the water, which I can see you enjoy, is there any other water sport you like doing? Because after lunch we could try something...?

Azi: Shrugs a little The beach and water sports are probably closer to your area of expertise than mine. Kisses her cheek What would you like to do love?

Ellie: feels the muscles shift directly beneath her hands as he shrugs Hmmm, well, if there's nothing you're particularly hanging out to try, then we can decide later and see what's around. The beach is too calm for surfing, and there's not enough wind today for good windsurfing, so we may be limited in our choices. smiles and pulls herself in closer again Though I'm just as happy to play around in the water and on the beach.

Azi: Readjusts his hold around her as she moves in closer Smiling a little I'd have to say I'm a little grateful that surfing is out of the question. I really don't feel the need to make a fool out of myself in front of you my dear.

Ellie: grins More of a fool than I made of myself on the ice? I seem to recall I managed to drag you down with me at one point...

Azi: Laughs You seem to have a point there, but in your defense you weren't as nearly as bad as I would be on a surfboard... And I didn't exactly mind being dragged down with you.

Ellie: chuckles and leans forward to nuzzle under his ear, flicking her tongue out to taste the salt water Maybe there are some kayaks for hire. A double kayak would work? chuckles into the side of his neck Less likely to fall out, and if you do then I fall out with you.

Azi: Blushes just a little as he feels her tongue below his ear Turns his head so that he can kiss her in the same spot We can look into that when we go back to shore. Kayaking with you sounds splendid.

Ellie: smiles as he kisses below her ear We'll see what's there. For now I guess I'm more interested in what's here... grins back in control again Because I suddenly find myself in the arms of a more than half naked angel, and I really didn't think that this would ever happen, let alone I would be enjoying it.

Azi: Face goes a tad bit redder but smiles Should I be flattered that you are enjoying this or offended that you didn't think that you would have?

Ellie: laughs and kisses his cheek before leaning back a little so she can look him in the face Flattered that I didn't think there would ever be an angel who I would enjoy this with.

Azi: Grins and rests hand on the side of her cheek, thumb stroking it ever so slightly Flattered it is then.

Ellie: leans her cheek into his hand wry smile Mostly it hadn't occurred to me to wonder what your body was like under all that tartan, and those sweaters, and the koala tshirt, despite my teasing about stripping during various game nights. shrug They're just bodies, after all, and I see a lot of those. grin But it's this... moves her hand briefly over one side of his chest, over his shoulder, up the side of his neck, and into his hair... and the fact that it's /your/ skin, with /you/ underneath it, that caught me unprepared. turns her head and catches his thumb loosely in her teeth

Azi: Makes a desperate attempt to will his heart rate to slow down before realizing it was a lost cause and just goes with it Hums pleasantly when her hand slides up into his hair as he practically feels the blush creeping up on himself I think I can imagine how you feel...

Ellie: lets his thumb go and smiles at him runs her fingers through his hair, which looks much longer - and darker - wet but still curling a bit at the ends So I'm thinking swimming at the beach should become a very regular thing during summer. smile turns mischievous Have to make the most of this before you hide it all again.

Azi: Smiles playfully Well I suppose I could handle allowing this to be a regular thing for us... Moves forward a little and kisses the underside of her jaw

Ellie: chuckles and raises her chin a little to give him better access How kind of you. chuckles again Hey, we've got to work off all that chocolate somehow.

Azi: Mumbles and smirks against her jaw That way we can get away with gorging ourselves on more of it and the other fine sweets this world has to offer? Kisses her from under her jaw, down the side of her neck, and to her shoulder

Ellie: lets her eyes close and enjoys the feel of his lips on her Hmmm, yes... though I can think of /other/ things we could do for exercise, too. smirks a little and brushes her fingers through the hair at his temple, other hand clutching tightly at his shoulder

Azi: Smiling against her shoulder Begins to trail his lips back up her neck, noting the salty taste I'm sure you can. Plenty of physical activities one can try during the summer...

Ellie: tilts head to one side, stretching her neck out and smiles, eyes still shut shivers pleasantly Yes, plenty of activities. Even some you can do all year around. grins and looks at him through slitted eyes

Azi: Takes his time, kissing her lazily up her neck and along her jaw I'd imagine that we would want to do those activities inside once the weather cools down again though.

Ellie: chuckles and playfully tousles his hair Aziraphale, sweetie... Unless I've been a worse influence on you than I realise, I think we may be talking about different activities about now...

Azi: Lifts his head up and nuzzles her cheek Now what would ever give you that idea?

Ellie: laughs at the cheek nuzzle and at his words Because the activities I was talking about are generally conducted in a bed, in private, with even less clothes than we're wearing now. So what were you talking about? watches him out of the corner of her eye, a smile on her face

Azi: Blushes at her rather straight forward answer Buries his face against her neck and mumbles ...you win this round.

Ellie: buries the fingers of both hands in his hair and chuckles Who's keeping score?

Azi: Smiles and hums gratefully as she strokes his hair I haven't the faintest clue. Kisses the underside of her jaw again

Ellie: Well, how about I start a game I never win, then? Just to even things out. trails her fingers from his hair, briefly across his shoulder and chest - because she can't resist - and then to his sides, where she tickles gently grinning broadly

Azi: Wiggles away from her tickling and smirks mischievously Are you sure you want to start this love?

Ellie: shrugs and follows him, grinning I never claimed to be very smart when it came to love. lunges to try tickling his side again

Azi: Smiling at the love comment because it just warms his heart in the best possible way You asked for it dearest. Uses her lunge to catch her in his arms and start tickling her sides

Ellie: laughs as she thrashes in the water, trying to tickle him back and mostly failing manages to remember not to breathe when she ends up under the water briefly

Azi: Wraps one arm around her waist to help keep her upright Continues his attack with his free hard

Ellie: is in a position to tickle him back, but ends up squirming too much herself to be effective I yield! laughs I yield!

Azi: Giggles and stops his attack Wraps both hands around her waist as he gives her a chance to catch her breath

Ellie: sags against him, laughing and panting arms tucked under his and around his waist

Azi: Smiles and kisses her forehead You alright love?

Ellie: grins at him Of course I am. I asked for it, didn't I?

Azi: Laughs That you did. I would just hate for you to regret your decision.

Ellie: kisses his nose smiles mischievously Little do you know that it was a devious ploy to get you to put your hands all over me. winks

Azi: Mock gasps Oh I should have known you were just using me to accomplish your own devious goals.

Ellie: shrugs and smirks, squeezing her arms tight I'm a demon. What did you expect?

Azi: Tightens his hold on her in return Mock pouts Demon or not I'm still upset that I've been used like that.

Ellie: Oh? places a kiss against his shoulder Then tell me... kiss against his collarbone... my darling angel... the side of his neck... what can I do... his jaw... to make it up to you? grins and nips at his chin

Azi: Face flushes and smiles Well... this seems like a pleasant start. Allows his eyes to drift close and enjoy the feeling of her lips against him

Ellie: nuzzles his chin where she had just been nibbling A pleasant /start/, huh? kisses and nips back along his jaw to his ear, which she tugs gently with her teeth presses close to him with and whispers in his ear And just how much further are you wanting me to go, sweetie? smirks

Azi: Face is completely flustered, a fact he has elected to ignore and instead sigh pleasantly as her lips and teeth run along his jaw and to his ear Tightens his hold on her when she presses closer A-At this point I think I will trust you to make that decision yourself...

Ellie: presses her nose into his hair and breathes in the smell of the sea arms and legs wrap very firmly around his waist and shoulders, she buries her face in his hair and clings smiling like a lunatic, eyes squeezed shut Are you sure that's wise?

Azi: Fixes it so is that he is holding her with only one arm and uses his free hand to run his fingers slowly along her spine until he reaches her hairline Runs his fingers smoothly through her hair Not necessarily.

Azi: Heart fluttering and leans into her touch Totally-not-a-nervous-smile smile and already feels his face heating up Watches her with affection and interest

Ellie: doesn't see any protest and so moves her mouth close to his places a kiss first at one corner, then at the other, own lips curled into a smile quietly All right so far?

Azi: Smiles at the little kisses she just gave him I'm alright love.

Ellie: still smiling, moves so her lips are /just/ brushing his Good. closes her eyes, presses her lips to his, pulls away just enough to quickly nuzzle his nose, then goes back for a firmer kiss

Azi: Tangles his fingers into her hair Allows his eyes to flutter shut and smiles against her lips Attempts to return the kiss by tilting his head slightly and press his lips back just as firmly

Ellie: smiles when she feels him kissing back scrapes her teeth across his lower lip, soothing it again with her lips tries to coax his mouth open in a subtle and gentle way so that if it was too much he could easily prevent it

Azi: Sighs against her as she scrapes her teeth across his lower lip and soothes it with her own Is vaguely aware that his whole face has gone bright red once he allows Ellie to coax his lips apart

Ellie: can't help but feel a moment of elation as his lips part and she can deepen the kiss hand against his neck clenches has become completely oblivious to their surroundings a little whining noise she is pretty sure she's never made before escapes her throat

Azi: Answers the little sound she made with one of his own, surprising himself and not caring because he was too busy with the gorgeous demon in his arms Has also chosen to conveniently forget where they are at the moment Tilts his head and presses his lips against hers with a little more force to make whatever it is she wanted to do with him easier

Ellie: with the pressure he exerts the whining noise is back, or perhaps it's whimpering she doesn't care she's just about to see if exploring his mouth with her tongue is going to be allowed when she remembers where they are and pulls away can't resist going in for another quick follow-up kiss when she sees how red he is rests her forehead against his and grins, panting slightly

Azi: Slightly confused as to why she stopped until his senses finally started coming back to him and he noticed exactly where they still were Realizes that a public beach may not be the best place to do these things and feels his face flush all over again Tries instead to focus on catching his breath, smiling shyly at Ellie all the while ....That was fun.

Ellie: gives a breathless laugh, stroking his cheek Fun? chuckles That's like saying that box of Teuscher truffles you brought over one time was 'ok I guess'. goes in for a quick kiss because now she's started it seems impossible to stop

Azi: Follows suit and starts stealing kisses from her himself Well I would have been more articulate but it seems that someone has stolen my breath away at the moment... Pecks her lips gives her a flustered but playful smile Besides, that may have all ended a little too quickly for my taste.

Ellie: deepens one of his stolen kisses again, just for a short while, letting her tongue quickly tease at his teeth before pulling away again, only to go back for a few more quick pecks appears to have lost the ability to breathe again As glad as I am to hear that you wanted more, I think much more would have resulted in a somewhat embarrassing public situation. can't stop smiling

Azi: Panting from that last deep kiss and again having to remind himself where they were and why exactly the have to slow down ...Then would it be too much trouble for us to continue this later when the situation is a little less public? Breathless smile

Ellie: heart stutters to a stop and then restarts again beating twice as hard You... want to? Later?

Azi: Attempts to hide his blush by nuzzling his face against her shoulder Well um.... if that would be okay with you? I /was/ enjoying myself and we can't exactly continue what we were doing without risking getting some odd looks from our fellow beachgoers...

Ellie: presses her cheek against his hair, disbelieving smile on her face Of course it would be ok with me. another breathless laugh What a question! places a hand on the back of his head, gently stroking his hair amusement in her voice If we weren't in public I'd snog you senseless right now and probably then some. lopsided grin

Azi: Laughs gently into her shoulder Well that would be rather difficult considering most of my sense have already been properly snogged out of me by yourself but minutes ago.

Ellie: laughs quietly keeps stroking the back of his head Isn't it lucky we stopped before the 'then some' part, then?

Azi: Humming pleasantly as her fingers play with his wet hair Not necessarily...

Ellie: fingers still for a fraction of a second then continue You have to stop saying things like that. smiles and kisses the side of his head I'll start getting ideas.

Azi: Giggles and lifts his head up to look at her properly Start? And here I thought you would already have a whole list of ideas. Grinning

Ellie: grins back at him You've got me there.

Azi: Smiling Well since it seems since that particular activity is off limits for the moment what would you like to do now?

Ellie: I think an /actual/ swim, to cool off, would be a good idea. For me at least. thinks about stealing another proper kiss and decides to kiss his nose instead

Azi: Laughs I think that that is a perfect idea love.

Ellie: Not sure what you think of as a proper swim, but I'll probably do a couple of trips out to the buoy points over her shoulder and back again. smiles By then I may just be thinking rationally again.

Azi: Would you like me to attempt to go with you or should I just splash around and make it appear as if I am swimming here? Grinning

Ellie: smiles It's up to you? slowly and reluctantly untangles herself from him, feeling somehow bereft with just the cool water pressing against her What would /you/ like to do?

Azi: Smiles softly, a little disappointed by the loss of contact Honestly if I try to follow I fear I will either slow you down or somehow end up with my arms around you again and that would probably be defeating the purpose of this little swim.

Ellie: reaches out and grabs his hand, giving it a little squeeze I'll be back before you know it. only just manages to resist reeling him in again for another kiss and instead pushes away puts all her excess energy - and there is quite a lot of it now - into a strong freestyle stroke out towards the buoy

Azi: Watches her swim of and decides to actually do some swimming while he was there Goes out a little deeper and takes a breath before diving under to explore the sea life beneath

Ellie: gets back to where she was sure she'd left the angel and can't see him, but /can/ sense him nearby so is reassured swims back out again, not nearly tired out enough

Azi: Pops out of the water once he remembers the lifeguards might be worried if he doesn't come up for air once in awhile Pulls out a bit of seaweed that got tangled up in his hair Looks around for Ellie and figures she must still be swimming since he doesn't see her around Dives back under when he sees a school of fish swim by

Ellie: has done three trips out to the buoy before she starts to feel balanced again floats in the general location she had left Azi and waits for him to show himself

Azi: Resurfaces once he has lost the school of fish Notices Ellie seems to be waiting for him nearby and swims towards her

Ellie: smiles as she spots Azi waits until he's closer before speaking Find anything interesting? You seemed to be under the water every time I came by.

Azi: Swims up next to her and resists the urge to put his arms around her again because that would defeat the purpose of the swim in the first place I may or may not have been chasing a school of fish.

Ellie: laughs, delighted I hope you came up for air at some point. looks towards the lifeguard post

Azi: Nods proudly I remembered! Though I may have been under there a little longer than a normal human would have been able to hold their breath...

Ellie: grins and winks at him That /can/ be a handy skill. chuckles and pushes away, floating backwards away from him and towards the shore Time to find something to eat?

Azi: Grins That sounds lovely. Swims towards her and the shore

Ellie: turns around to swim properly, standing up and walking once it is shallow enough they've drifted a bit from their gear, but it is easy enough to find and all accounted for picks up the towel, glares the sand off it rather than shakes it out, and begins drying herself

Azi: Follows her on to the shore and to their bags Shakes out his towel and begins to dry off What are you hungry for love?

Ellie: shoots him an amused look but doesn't say what immediately comes to mind I think there were some food stalls around. Hot dogs, fries, that sort of thing.

Azi: Smiles, completely unaware of what she was going to say That works for me. Pulls on his "borrowed" sunglasses and dolphin covered Hawaiian shirt, not bothering to button it up Takes Ellie's hand and intertwines their fingers

Ellie: has just finished doing her sarong up around her hips smiles as Azi twines their fingers together gives his hand a squeeze This way, I believe.

Azi: Grins and follows her to get themselves some food Returns a few minutes later with hotdogs and drinks in hand Settles back down onto their beach towels

Ellie: digs her drink into the sand to keep it upright and attacks her hotdog with obvious enthusiasm and enjoyment

Azi: Follows her example and digs his own drink into the sand Attacks his own hotdog with hunger he didn't realize he had until that point

Ellie: is halfway through her hotdog before she slows down enough to be able to give Azi a smile I think I must have worked up an appetite. winks

Azi: Grins Well swimming can do that to a person.

Ellie: hides a smile behind her hotdog Yes, it was the swimming I was referring to, sweetie. takes a large bite and chews happily

Azi: Finishes his hotdog after a few minutes and sucks happily on his drink They may not have any tea or cocoa there but he was just fine with his lemonade

Ellie: wipes her hands off carefully when she finishes her hotdog and stashes the used paper serviette in her beach bag grabs her drink, rolls onto her stomach, and retrieves her book again reads a bit as she drinks is very aware of the angel next to her

Azi: Notices the demon lying down and reading next to him Reaches into his own bag to retrieve his book Casually turns and lies down, resting his head on her back

Ellie: smiles over her shoulder when Azi rests his head against the small of her back sees that he has his book, too, and goes back to hers silly grin on her face sometimes finds herself re-reading paragraphs when she gets distracted by his hair tickling her back, but otherwise is enjoying reading and his company

Azi: Reads in companionable silence and enjoys his makeshift pillow Occasionally glances over to Ellie with a small smile playing at the edge of his lips

Ellie: after about half an hour, drink long gone, Ellie puts her book down crosses her arms in front of her and places her cheek against her forearms closes her eyes tiny smile on her face

Azi: Notices that she has stopped reading Puts his own book down and looks around for something he saw when they were getting their food earlier Spots it and gets up Returns minutes later with ice cream cones for both himself and his demon

Ellie: feels Azi get up and tracks his general progress with her other senses across the beach and back again without needing to open her eyes looks up when he's back and sees he has two ice cream cones sits up and smiles brightly I assume one of those is for me and you're not planning on eating them both?

Azi: Sits down next to her and appears as if he's considering something Well... I /could/ eat both of them but I suppose I could part with one if you persuaded me to. Smirks

Ellie: doesn't need a second invitation, especially as his hands are both occupied leans over and tugs his head forward with a hand behind his neck and plants a kiss - closed mouth and relatively chaste compared to their earlier effort - on his lips pulls back, smiling Pretty please, my love?

Azi: Slightly blushing and smiling broadly Of course my dearest. Hands her one of the ice creams

Ellie: eagerly takes the ice cream offered to her quickly licks at the melting ice cream before it gets all over her fingers Mmm, thank you! beams at the angel

Azi: You are quite welcome. Smiles and begins to lick his ice cream before it melts

Ellie: as she gets the melting part of the ice cream under control, she shifts position so that her shoulder is pressing lightly against his briefly places a cold-lipped kiss on the tip of his shoulder before going back to her ice cream

Azi: Casually slips his free arm around her waist and sneakily kisses her cheek before returning to his melting ice cream

Ellie: his kiss leaves behind a cold imprint, which makes her smile and wonder what it would be like to kiss him right now with a small snort at her own one-track mind, she carries on eating her ice cream until she is chewing on the last of the cone

Azi: Finishes off his ice cream in no time flat Happily licks of the bit of melted ice cream that got on his fingers

Ellie: resists the urge to grab his hand and lick his fingers herself is definitely /not/ watching him lick his fingers shakes her head and smiles chuckles a little I think I've not done nearly enough swimming. At least if we go kayaking we'll be separated by some carbon fibre. grins, teasing

Azi: Finishes licking the melted ice cream of his fingers, completely unaware of what it was doing to Ellie Grins and pecks her lips Kayaking sounds good but I would think being separated would be a down side?

Ellie: laughs softly and leans against him Normally, yes. another low laugh But right now I can't stop thinking about how you want to continue in private what we started earlier, and it's distracting to say the least. grins and nuzzles his shoulder A bit of physical separation will help preserve your virtue. giggles

Azi: Laughs a little himself I see your point there. Strokes her hair and kisses the top of her head If I'm having trouble keeping my hands to myself I can only imagine what you are going through.

Ellie: I'll go see if they have any double kayaks available for hire then, shall I? sits up a little and reaches for her bag

Azi: Thank you dear. Grabs his drink and sips it as Ellie searches through her bag

Ellie: finds what she's looking for and goes off in the direction of the kayak hire returns a few minutes later and chucks her card back into her bag We have a nice blue one hired for two hours. grabs her singlet out of her bag and puts it on You'll want to do your shirt up. I seem to recall the hire life jackets rub a little, and they don't let you go out without them.

Azi: Starts buttoning up his shirt Should we leave our stuff here or do you think we should take it with us?

Ellie: glares and makes a complicated hand gesture at their things No one would dare steal anything.

Azi: Laughs a little and stands up, brushing some sand off of himself That settles that then. Shall we go?

Ellie: grabs Azi's hand and guides him over to the hire place where a well-used blue double kayak waits for them near the water's edge, two paddles tucked into the front cockpit, two life jackets tucked into the back one Ever been kayaking before?

Azi: A few times before... but those had usually been in done in much less calmer waters. Glance at her and pecks her under her ear before going over and putting on one of the life jackets, handing the other one to Ellie

Ellie: White-water kayaking? grins takes the life jacket and puts it on with practiced ease takes her paddle and prepares to lift the bow of the kayak by the handle

Azi: Ah yes! That's what it was called. Grabs a paddle helps her move the kayak into the water

Ellie: Oh, that's really fun! jumps into the front cockpit when they're in just enough water to float the kayak turns around to face Azi You have the rudder controls back there. If you're not comfortable controlling the rudder, leave it up and we'll just turn using the paddles. smiles, because she's doing something she loves with someone she loves

Azi: Alright love. Grins and carefully climbs into the kayak, making sure that it doesn't tip over Pushes them forward with the paddle And we're off!

Ellie: turns to face the direction they're going again, grinning, and digs her own paddle into the water on one side, then on the other, ganing momentum I was speaking with the hire guy, and he reckons we can get around a couple of peninsulas in the two hour slot we have, and that there are some nice little seaside caves, just big enough to fit a kayak in, which are perfect to view at this tide level. So if you feel like doing that, we're heading starboard. gestures with her paddle as well

Azi: The caves sound rather interesting. Starts to turn them in the correct direction Do you know if they lead anywhere or are we going to have to turn around to get out?

Ellie: From what I understand they're all dead-end caves, just big enough to poke the kayaks into. If you're into spelunking, I can note that as another activity to do with you at a later date. shoots him a grin over her shoulder but keeps paddling is loving being out doing water sports again novel experience in the double kayak

Azi: Grins and helps Ellie paddle towards where the caves should be Spelunking hmm? It's not something I've made a habit of doing but I would be willing to try it with you my dear.

Ellie: Great. Because I'd be willing to give /anything/ a try with you. blows him a quick kiss over her shoulder and a wink they're moving away from the beach at a good pace, slightly faster than humans normally would, but there's not anyone around to notice rests her paddle across the kayak as they round the first headland, taking in the view

Azi: Grins and chuckles I'll be sure to remember you said that love, I'm sure it will come in handy. Decides to follow suit and stop padding for the moment, enjoying the beauty of the ocean and the beauty sharing a kayak with him

Ellie: turns as best she can in her seat with the life jacket on and grins at him I'm not entirely sure what I've agreed to, but it's you, so it can't be too bad. turns back Right, according to the hire guy, the caves should be just around the next peninsula. picks up paddle and keeps going

Azi: Laughs Never underestimate me dear, who knows what I have planned for you. Returns to helping her paddle towards their destination

Ellie: is reasonably sure he didn't mean that how it sounded, but shivers pleasantly anyway is putting quite a bit more effort than she perhaps needs to

Azi: Continues to paddle and steer until the caves come into view

Ellie: perks up when she sees the caves and stops paddling to point excitedly There! looks briefly back at him to give him a brilliant smile This is going to take tighter maneuvering than the rudder will give us. reaches back to pull the string that will lift the rudder How are your tight-space turning skills?

Azi: Beams at her excited smile and gives her one of his own Glances over her shoulder to get a better look at the cave entrance Hopefully they are good enough that we won't get trapped in there.

Ellie: All right. Well there's one there that's barely two kayak lengths deep. If we go in backwards we definitely won't get stuck. chuckles kayak is being buffeted around a little by being so close to the rocks starts to dig the paddle in on one side and sweep on the other to turn them

Azi: Assists her in maneuvering the kayak around, following her lead since she obviously knows more about this than he does

Ellie: Doing well, sweetie. starts paddling backwards once the stern of their kayak is pointing at the cave uses the swell of the tide to assist them in keeps a careful eye on the rudder, as they don't want to scrape it off on the cave wall kayak is buffeted around even more inside the confined space, but it's dark and cool reaches out to touch the cave wall

Azi: Smiles shyly at her encouragement Is careful not to bang the kayak up too bad as they slowly make their way inside Gives his eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness and begins to look around It's actually rather pleasant in here isn't it? Definitely chilling.

Ellie: uses her paddle to gently push away from one of the walls when they get too close It's lovely. tries to reach the cave ceiling as a swell comes in to lift the kayak but it's still too far away laughs Want to explore something a little deeper? actually tries /not/ to make that sound like innuendo

Azi: Gazing around at the cave ceiling and walls as the tide gently drifts them up and down Yes actually, perhaps we can even find a cave that we can move around in and properly explore!

Ellie: If we can find one, I'd like that. Keeping in mind we need to be back within two hours. checks her watch That still gives us about about forty five minutes to explore. grins at him Onward? starts paddling

Azi: Smiling Onwards! Paddles with her out of the cave and in search of a new one

they find a few more shallow caves and explore a few of them

Eventually find a cave deep and wide enough for them to properly explore

Ellie: grins excitedly Good spotting! You prepared to manoeuvre out backwards if we get into a narrow dead-end?

Azi: Grins back because her smile was infectious If I must love.

Ellie: All right then. Tide's going out so we're going to need to check the depth as we go because we don't want to get stranded. laughs Though I'm not above firing off a miracle or two just to rearrange some rocks.

Azi: Admires her knowledge of things he knows little about Shakes his head to snap out of his adoring haze and goes about assisting his Ellie into the cave I'm sure that we will be able to avoid getting stranded... Though there are worse things than getting trapped in a cave with you my dear.

Ellie: laughs I think if I'm going to get stuck anywhere with you, a cold, wet, rocky, confined space is low down on my list of choices. pauses Well, confined is ok. grins and paddles, keeping a careful eye out for rocks they could end up on top of as the tide raises and lowers the water level

Azi: Oh really? Then what is your ideal place to get trapped with me? They manage to get into the cave alright and avoid bumping into too many rocks

Ellie: regularly sticking her paddle straight down next to the kayak to make sure the water is deep enough to let them back out also using her paddle more to guide them away from rocks than propel them forwards is glad she can see in the dark voice sounding strange inside the dark cave Hmmm, I only have a few criteria - it must be warm, dry, have soft surfaces, doesn't need to have light, though it would be nice.

Azi: Has pretty much given up trying to figure out what he should be doing and just lets Ellie take the lead in their kayak care Hums thoughtfully as she lists her criteria ...I'm pretty sure the flat fits all of those categories, will that suit you well enough dear?

Ellie: chuckles, then quickly puts her hand up to avoid knocking her head on a particularly low ceiling I think we've reached the end of this branch, the ceiling is nearly down to the water just ahead. grins And yes, the flat fits those criteria. You planning on trapping me in there? starts to push them backwards

Azi: Maneuvers them around so that Ellie is facing the entrance and start paddling forward I might... would you mind terribly if I decided to be selfish and keep you all to myself for a few days?

Ellie: doesn't answer for about twenty seconds as she gets her breathing under control A few days? still sounding a little breathless has momentarily forgotten what they're doing

Azi: Shrugs casually and continues padding as a small smile plays at the edge of his lips Or weeks, I guess it all matters on how willing I am to let you go and share you with the rest of the world.

Ellie: takes a few more seconds to try and get her heart rate and breathing to slow to normal levels telling herself very /firmly/ to get her mind out of the gutter though the idea of just snuggling and kissing Azi for weeks on end was a very, /very/ nice thought I think I could just about handle that. is glad he can't see her stupid grin

Azi: Smiles broadly as they leave the cave and head back to the beach Perfect! Then we will have to be sure to make plans and clear our schedules to do just that sometime in the future.

Ellie: wonders how an activity that should have helped calm her because of not being able to touch him has done just the opposite paddles with a single-minded determination, wishing their beach was further away manages a strangled Sounds good.

Azi: What would you like to do once we return the kayak love? It's getting a little late but I'm sure we can squeeze in another activity before it gets dark out if you would like. Paddles

Ellie: another long pause before she answers Maybe we could just relax at the beach...? I think I could do with some relaxing... snorts to herself

Azi: Smiles Relaxing it is then. Perhaps we can watch the sunset together... or does that sound all too cheesy for you?

Ellie: smiles and has a warm fuzzy feeling It's cheesy, but I like your brand of cheesy.

Azi: Fondly smiling at her even though she can't see it Beach comes into view

Ellie: paddles steadily towards the beach, suddenly keen to get there, get out of the kayak, and get her hands on the angel

Azi: Starts paddling a bit faster once he notices Ellie's pace seems to have picked up It doesn't take the long to reach the part of the beach where they first started

Ellie: hops out and drags the kayak up the beach with single-minded determination, not caring at this point if the angel managed to get out as well

Azi: Climbs out of the kayak and is about to help Ellie move it when she takes off Tad confused by her enthusiasm but just shrugs and follows her, remembering to remove his life jacket so that he could leave it with the kayak

Ellie: puts her paddle into the kayak and takes off her life jacket, deciding that a little more time is in fact a good thing turns around and sees that Azi already has his life jacket off closes the space between them and makes a quick decision between snog or hug wraps her arms around his chest and buries her face in the side of his neck

Azi: Had only just tossed his life jacket into the kayak when he suddenly finds Ellie's arms around him Returns the hug automatically and plays with her hair, confused by what brought on this embrace but not minding it in the least Joking tone Did you miss me love?

Ellie: giggles into his neck That was /meant/ to be a chance for me to be with you without needing to have my hands all over you... laughs and noses into his neck And then you go and invite me to... weeks... of... can't finish

Azi: Grins and leans down to kiss her cheek To weeks of solitude from the rest of the world and spending them in each other's arms?

Ellie: takes a deep breath Yes. That. At this point I'm very glad you can't see what else my imagination decided to tease me with. amused tone

Azi: Arches an eyebrow questionably Care to share with me what exactly is going on in that imagination of yours?

Ellie: still hasn't lifted her head gives it a shake

Azi: Smiles teasingly Are you sure? I wouldn't mind making a dream or two of yours come true...

Ellie: strangled laughter still speaking into the side of his neck You're /not/ helping.

Azi: Chuckles I /could/ help if you just told me what that imagination of yours wanted.

Ellie: deep, somewhat shaky breath Aziraphale... please.

Azi: Nuzzles against her ear and places a small kiss there Please what, love?

Ellie: the whining noise is back I thought I was meant to be the tempter in this relationship?

Azi: Grins against her skin and kisses her jaw You are dear, and right now you're tempting me into kissing every inch of you.

Ellie: gives in, grabs him behind the neck, and kisses him hungrily not caring who is watching

Azi: Startled by the sudden kiss but finds himself leaning into, eyes fluttering closed and submitting to her lips will

Ellie: comes back to herself when she notices her hands are trying to get his shirt off pushes away from him, trembling voice a little unsteady You know how you said earlier I should tell you if you are ever making being what I am difficult? swallows and sits down on the hull of the kayak, resting her elbows on her knees You are.

Azi: Breathing heavily and has to give himself a minute to get his wits about himself before he can process what she is saying Kneels down in front of her so that they are eye to eye ....I'm sorry my love, I don't want to put you through any unnecessary stress. Smiles a little reassuringly and takes one of her hands Would telling you that I didn't really mind your enthusiasm just then be a help at all, or would that just complicate things farther?

Ellie: gives his hand a squeeze weak laugh It's not your or my enthusiasm for kissing I'm worried about.

Azi: Holds her hand to his cheek and gently nuzzles against it Then tell me exactly what made you stop just now so that I can understand and help you.

Ellie: just about has her heart back under control I'm not good for you. looks terrified for a moment as that wasn't what she had meant to say, then sags because it can't be unsaid You know what it is I do. Seems it's more ingrained than I thought.

Azi: Pulls her into a hug a firmly presses his lips against hers You are perfect for me and don't you dare ever think otherwise. I don't care what you are or how much of it is ingrained into you. Strokes her cheek with his thumb I love every part of you and there is absolutely nothing you could ever do to change that.

Ellie: sighs but leans into the thumb stroking her cheek tries for flippancy Lucky for you, then, that I'm too selfish to ever give you up now that I have you. rests her forehead against his and closes her eyes

Azi: Brushes his nose against her and gazes at her fondly Thumb gently stroking her cheek Luckiest angel out there as long as I have you.

Ellie: already feeling better by trying /not/ to think about being alone with him later another sigh, happier this time opens eyes and smiles at him Let's get going before they want their kayak back, I think the hire guy may be too embarrassed to interrupt us right now. places a kiss against his forehead as she stands up, taking Azi's hands with her

Azi: Relieved that Ellie seems to be feeling better and grins little I can't really blame them, if I was in his place I would probably just let the two sappy beings keep the kayak for as long as they liked.

Ellie: twines her fingers with his Come on then. I am up to a good part in the book and want to know what happens next. Might also be just enough to distract me from certain angels. grins

Azi: Holds back the urge to kiss her because he wants to be part of the solution, not the problem Instead just gives her hand a squeeze and follows her back to their things

Ellie: sinks back onto her towel and sits cross-legged, book in her lap, waiting to see where and how Azi arranges himself smiles at him

Azi: Plops down onto the towel next to her and grabs his own book Opts to lay on his stomach this time around Glances up at Ellie and smiles momentarily before find the page where he last left off

Ellie: considers her options scoots her towel over a little so that there is no gap at all lays down on her stomach next to Azi, close enough that their shoulders are touching shoots him another quick smile before finding her own place and continuing to read wasn't kidding about being up to a good place and is soon enthralled in the story again

Azi: Leans against her shoulder as they read together quietly once again A while passes before he notices that the sun is starting to set and carefully puts his book away so that he can instead watch the sunset

Ellie: only notices the sunset because Azi has moved looks over and sees he has put his book down and is looking out to sea notices the light is dim puts her book down and cuddles up against Azi's arm to watch the sunset with him

Azi: Feels Ellie cuddle up to him Slips an arm around her and silently watches the sunset together... though a certain angel may or may not be allowing his eyes to wander over to a certain demon and find himself watching her rather than the sun going down

Ellie: leans her head against his shoulder, eyes glued on the sunset, unaware of being watched It's so beautiful.

Azi: Eyes still glued to her with an adoring expression Quiet mumbles Yes you are...

Ellie: smiles as she hears what he says looks at him and places a kiss on the tip of his nose fondly Flatterer.

Azi: Shrugs and returns the nose kiss I can't really help it when I am with you love.

Ellie: places her head against his shoulder again, grinning and watching the sun go down the rest of the way sighs, content Suppose we should pack up and head home... is now reluctant to end this lovely day at the beach

Azi: Nuzzles her hair That would probably be for the best unless you fancy night swimming. Places his lips against her temple Look on the bright side love, at least when we get home we can be alone again.

Ellie: sighs again, though not unhappily starts packing up their things still making an effort not to dwell on what would happen when they were home and alone has her own things packed with the minimum of 'cheating' Ready, sweetie.

Azi: Hadn't really brought much with him to the beach is all packed up shortly Smiles at his demon All really love. Gets up and takes her hand

Ellie: twines her finger with Azi's and they leave the beach

(Fuzzy time)

Ellie: as they enter the apartment she can no longer ignore the thoughts of what alone-time may mean turns to Azi, suddenly hesitant and unsure

Azi: Walks into the door of the flat, happy to finally be home and able to get out of his beach clothes and into something more comfortable Stops and turns to Ellie when he notices she seemed like she wanted to say something Yes love?

Ellie: shakes her head Nothing. I'm... going to go wash the sea off... takes a step towards him and then pauses

Azi: Smiles and pulls her in for a quick peck on her lips You do that dear. I'll put our things away and then will probably wash up myself... I don't think I feel like being covered in sea and sand anymore than I have to.

Ellie: retreats to the ensuite of 'her' room so that she doesn't get in Azi's way gets back to his room, clean and dressed in her pyjamas and bunny slippers

Azi: Takes a few minutes putting things away and watch up Collapses onto his bed, hair still a wet from the shower he just took and wearing his pajamas

Ellie: slips into the room, sees Azi lying on the bed and smiles quietly approaches the bed and slides on, curling up against the angel as she does every day they're together softly I had a really good time today.

Azi: Smiles when Ellie curls up against him and turns on his side, wrapping both arms around her to hold her closer As did I love. We must do things like that more often.

Ellie: slides an arm around his waist and tucks her head under his chin Sounds wonderful. fingers tracing a little pattern on his back

Azi: Humming happily at the little patterns her fingers are making Slides his own hand up and rubs small circles into her back with his thumb Joking tone Maybe we could go spelunking next time? Grins

Ellie: grins against his neck You joke, but I really would like to do spelunking with you, if you're keen. nuzzles his neck likes the feel of his thumb lightly massaging her back I'm going to get you on a surfboard before summer is over.

Azi: Chuckles quietly I'm sure you will. And as far as spelunking goes... well I'm willing to try anything with a darling. Continues rubbing circles into her back and shoulders

Ellie: chuckles as well kisses his neck because it's there Anything, huh? amused

Azi: Lifts his chin up to give her better access to his neck Anything love. Have something in mind?

Ellie: chuckles and obligingly kisses his neck some more now that she has better access Don't make promises you can't keep, sweetie. Baby steps.

Azi: Kisses her forehead I also try to keep my promises dear.

Ellie: lifts her head and nips his chin playfully As I said, baby steps. For both our sakes.

Azi: Giggles at her nipping Of course love. Playfully pecks her lips and nuzzles her cheek

Ellie: smiles and can't help searching out his lips again for a quick kiss teasingly You're very addictive. brushes his chin with her lips as she speaks Now, this romantic voluntary period of captivity - tell me more... smiles

Azi: Holds her closer and massages the small of her back Well the way I imagined our captivity was us either spending most of our time in either my bed or yours, arms around each other as our lips tease against one anothers skin and whisper sappy but sweet things into each others ears.

Ellie: shivers Sounds... divine. all she can manage as her brain goes into overdrive processing the images and imagined sensations Wings. Yes. hand has frozen on his back

Azi: Dips his head down and starts kissing her jaw Are your wings still as sensitive as I remember them?

Ellie: lifts her jaw and closes her eyes Yes...

Azi: Smiles against her jaw Than I guess I'll just have to be careful and only groom them where you want me to.

Ellie: hasn't realised she'd tensed up until she relaxes Thank you.

Azi: Rubs circles into her shoulder blades You're very welcome love. Gently starts to kiss her behind her ear

Ellie: breath hitches and leans into her favourite kiss - the one below her ear fingers against his back start moving again, making slow, gentle scratching motions hums with appreciation, trying to move even closer to him ... When? mind blanks for a second Um... For our little secluded holiday?

Azi: Pulls her flush against himself starts leaving a trail of kisses from under her ear, down her neck, and then back up to the underside of her jaw Whenever you want love. We can do this sort of thing more than once.

Ellie: is trembling ever so slightly, but in a pleasant way I wish I could just stay here the whole time but, alas, I have quotas to fill. her hand on his back travels up to play with the still-damp curls at his nape But I can have some time cleared soon if a few of my projects pan out as planned...

Azi: Trails his lips along her jaw line, up to her cheek, and finally stops when they are hovering mere centimeters away from hers Then I sincerely hope that everything works out so that I can keep you here all to myself.

Ellie: smiles You're an angel, you're not /meant/ to wish for /my/ projects to go well. looks into those wonderful blue eyes, amused, and waits for the kiss to come to her - if it comes

Azi: Smirks And I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to be in bed with a demon, but there are worse things... Leans forward and closes the distance between their lips

Ellie: is smiling when their lips meet lets out a happy sigh before giving in to her baser instincts and deepening the kiss fingers of one hand gripping his hair, the other the front of his pyjamas

Azi: Tilts his head to make whatever she is doing with her mouth and tongue that is causing the quiet needy sounds to escape the back of his throat easier for her Brings a hand up and tangles it into her hair

Ellie: spurred on by the little noises, she continues to kiss him until she is feeling a little light-headed and making little keening, whimpering sounds again the hand at the front of his pyjama top releases to slide fingers between the buttons and graze against his collar bone

Azi: Does his best to keep up with Ellie, knowing full well that she is much better at this than he was but not willing to give up trying Decides to try and mimic one of her earlier moves and gently scrapes his teeth along her lip

Ellie: smiles as she feels teeth scrape against her lip pushes back with extra enthusiasm and makes an agreeable sound in the back of her throat is repeating in her mind 'baby steps, baby steps' and therefore manages to resist rolling him on his back moves away a fraction, only to nip back in with renewed vigour

Azi: Unaware of her thoughts and not really thinking anything of it, he turned and laid on his back while holding her against him like they have done so many times before during their cuddle sessions on the couch... only difference being is that he usually wasn't nipping and sucking on her lip for those sessions

Ellie: finds herself pulled into the position she /wanted/ to be in, but had been telling herself /not/ to get into Aziraphale... her mind yelling 'BABY STEPS, BABY STE-- screw it' moves her leg over so that she's straddling his hips continues to kiss him as her now-freed hands undo the first button on his pyjama top

Azi: Is too far gone in the sensation of Ellie's lips on his and his hands gently stroking her back A very tiny voice is trying to set off an ALERT signal in his head but the angel is too lost in the moment to notice just yet

Ellie: has the second and third buttons undone and her hands inside his top, fanning her fingers across his chest makes a little sound at the skin contact moves her mouth from his to take some of the soft skin under his jaw between her teeth, then gives it a soothing lick Aziraphale... fast, shallow breaths... please... inside her head a small voice manages 'tell me to stop!'

Azi: Is vaguely aware that his shirt is undone and that Ellie's hands are now roaming across his chest This thought might have been enough to get him to slow down if it wasn't for another voice in his head reasoning that she had already done something like this at the beach so why should it bother him now? Is panting when she moves her mouth to the skin under his jaw and lets out a little pleasant whining noise Dips his head under her chin and nips and sucks carefully at her neck Mutters breathlessly as his voice takes on a slight quiver W-What did you w-want Ellie? Little voice of reason trying desperately to be noticed

Ellie: the noise he makes cuts across the internal voice and it is drowned out I want... fumbling the other buttons undone I... need... parts his top and starts kissing down his chest ... you... internal voice pipes up again and screams 'TO TELL ME TO STOP!' actually stops for a moment to pant against his stomach, fingers clenched on his shoulders, nails digging in

Azi: Y-You need me...? He asked a little hazy, unsure of where exactly that sentence was going and /incredibly/ distracted by what her lips are doing to him as they travel down his chest and even farther down his stomach......... Eyes shoot open when his little voice of reason gets through to him and asks him just exactly where he thinks Ellie's lips are going Feels his entire face turn bright red and manages to prop himself up onto his elbows to look down at the demon panting against his stomach, not even registering the fact that her nails are digging into him pretty deep ...E-Ellie?

Ellie: has frozen as the voice in her mind continues to scream at her Azi's voice, or his tone anyway, gets through to her looks up to see his red face pulls her nails out of his shoulders frantically closes his shirt, willing the buttons shut, and scrambles backwards, right off the end of the bed sits on the floor with her back against the footboard I'm so sorry!

Azi: Was much more shocked by her sudden retreat and panic than he was by her actions only moments ago Hops off the bed and is quickly kneeling in front of her on the floor, staring at her with worried eyes My goodness dear are you alright?!

Ellie: trying not to yell Am I alright? AM I ALRIGHT? waves a hand at the bed Did you not notice what I was doing to you? I can't be trusted!

Azi: Stares at her blankly Bites his lip to try and hold it back but sadly fails and burst into giggles You can't be trusted? Love you make it sound like you were doing those things against my will... and I'm pretty sure I was encouraging your behaviour.

Ellie: is upset by his laughter but only for a moment what he says registers and she relaxes a little, but doesn't see the funny side with only a hint of bitterness Alright then, /we/ can't be trusted.

Azi: This brings on another fit of laughter and he hugs her to both comfort her and support himself Ellie darling you are going to have to explain to me why my willingness to take things a little farther than a peck on the lips bothers you so much because I'm rather confused here.

Ellie: goes stiffly into the hug speaks quietly into his shoulder I've seen lust ruin too many good things. It's my /job/ to make sure it does. Six thousand years I've ruined good things doing this, exactly this.

Ellie: And yet I still want to. I'm /made/ to.

Azi: Gently strokes her hair And you believe that if we go too far it will ruin things between us?

Ellie: sighs, frustrated I don't know! It's the not knowing...

Azi: Pulls back to look her in the eyes Love, there are a lot of factors that by all definition should pull us apart... Soft smile and strokes her cheek So it's up to us to not lose focus of why we are together in the first place and just tell those facts to 'bugger off and let us have our fun.'

Ellie: lets his eyes and smile calm her again realises not just the mistake she made in letting things get so far, but in her over-reaction when she noticed what she was doing Oh Aziraphale... sags into him, burying her face in his shoulder snorts Because what you need is another excitable demon in your life. mild tone of wry humour

Azi: Teasing tone Oh of course! Excitable demons are my favorite things to collect! Giggles quietly and rubs her back in a soothing manner So are you alright love?

Ellie: hides her face A little embarrassed. snorts again You'd think I'd be the last one out of us two to freak out. smiles a little at her next thought, an accusation she'd used against him time and again since they'd been together It's all your fault.

Azi: Can't help but smile himself You're right, I'm so sorry for seducing you like that dear. Next time I'll be sure that we are both fully aware of how far we want to take things.

Ellie: looks up at him, startled, then realises he's making fun shakes her head, smirking Seducing, indeed. reaches up to tousle his hair With your messy curls and your library tan, both of which I find absolutely irresistible, by the way.

Azi: Grins and pecks her cheek I admire your taste dear... though personally I prefer someone with a flirtatious but sweet personally and /incredibly/ gorgeous green eyes.

Ellie: grinning back at him Hmmm, no, blue eyes are more to my taste. kisses him between the eyes And a body built for hugging. wraps her arms around his slightly softer middle

Azi: Smiling brightly I don't know love, you're pretty huggable yourself. Snuggles close ...Do you want to get off this floor?

Ellie: chuckles Probably best we do? snuggles closer to him and makes no move to get up

Azi: Nuzzles and scoops her up into his arms Plops back down onto the bed and leans back against the headboard with her still in his arms

Ellie: wraps her arms around his neck, notices the red marks and, biting her lip, tucks her fingers into his collar just to run them over the fingernail marks and heal them I'll be more careful in the future.

Azi: Looks at where the marks had once been Takes the fingers she had just used to heal him and gently places them against his lips I'm fine love, I think we both just got a little over excited.

Ellie: chuckles A little over excited? I'll say. lays her head against his shoulder again and snuggles in close This isn't going to be a very comfortable position for either of us to sleep in...?

Azi: Mock surprise Oh we are going to sleep? And here I thought we were going to continue where we left off.... Wills himself not to giggle

Ellie: looks at him carefully I can't tell if you're being serious or not...

Azi: Blinks at her Do you /want/ me to be serious?

Ellie: blinks back I... I don't know... I mean, of course a part of me does. A large part. But... I also... no. It's easy for me to want this. If we continue, it's because /you/ want to.

Azi: Momentarily at a loss for words I um... I mean I /was/ enjoying m-myself and everything but... I-I'm not exactly used to this sort of t-thing so I get flustered easily and... Blushing

Ellie: kindly Then how about we do some more snuggling, and sleep? Are we both comfortable with that?

Azi: Hiding his face against her shoulder T-That works for me... but if you change your mind let me know okay?

Ellie: kisses his hair and nudges him to shift back down onto the bed properly Come on, lover boy. Time to cuddle me to sleep.

Azi: Smiles at the nickname and shifts around until his head hits the pillow As you wish little rabbit.

Ellie: smiles and finds a comfortable position on /her/ pillow - Azi as an afterthought, gets her wings out and covers them in a feathery green blanket Goodnight, sweetie. lifts head for a quick kiss under his chin before resting her cheek against his chest again

Azi: Combs his fingers soothingly through her wings and kisses her forehead Goodnight Ellie. Snuggles her gently closer and allows his eyes to drift closed
